INTRODUCTION


These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. The consumer’s statutory rights are not excluded or limited in any way in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended).

When purchasing with Mode Rattan or http://moderattan.co.uk  you are entering into a legally binding contract and are deemed to have accepted the following terms and conditions as set out below and in the separate privacy policy.

If you do not agree to be legally bound to the terms below or if you have any questions regarding our terms of use please contact our team on moderattan@gmail.com who will be happy to assist you.

These terms and conditions may be changed at any time and will be posted online.

We and our suppliers have a policy of continuous product development and reserve the right to amend the specifications of any goods or products without prior notice in relation to future sales. Our website is kept up to date with current configurations and materials of products if you have any questions regarding this please email us on moderattan@gmail.com

 

Ordering from us

If the item ordered is in stock it will be shipped from our warehouse within 3-5 working days. Our website is kept up to date with product availability. If a product you are interested in is not in stock, please email us on moderattan@gmail.com, so we can give you an update on when we expect this to be back as a stock item.

Our normal lead time for goods not in stock is approximately 5 weeks. Due to COVID-19 our lead times are currently longer. When you place your order we will contact you to ensure you are happy with the longer lead times. We will provide weekly updates on the status of your order along with the up to date ETA.

2.1: We may refuse to accept an order:
a) Where goods are not available
b) Where we cannot obtain authorization for your payment
c) If there has been a pricing or description error
d) If you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions

e) If you refuse to provide requested proof of identity where it is required to confirm your address / payment method.

 

3. PRICING

3.1: Where we charge separately for shipping, the appropriate rates are set out in our pricing structure shown on our website. Each item you see will detail the shipping cost. Prices may be higher dependent on the distance from our warehouse, such as Scotland or Southern England, in the rare situation this is the case, we will contact you.

3.2: Should an incorrect price be displayed, Moderattan reserves the right to refuse orders.

3.3: All prices quoted by the Company are only valid at the time of of purchae.

3.4: The Company reserves the right to revise the quoted price in the event of unforeseen and extraordinary expenses for the Company appertaining the goods

 VAT 


All prices stated include VAT at the applicable rate. Please note we do not accept order from outside of the UK. We can provide a VAT invoice should you require this.

4. DELIVERY

Delivery is deemed as successful once the products have arrived at the address provided for delivery. We require a signature for all of our goods. This signature may be done electronically or paper form, dependent on the courier. We can leave goods at the designated address for a customer if they have confirmed to us in writing that we are able to do this. We will not be responsible for any loss that may occur if a customer requests this.

Once delivered the responsibility for the product is deemed to be the cardholders and any loss or damage to the product is then at your own risk.

The price stated for delivery can vary for different items mostly dependent on size or weight. For areas such as the Scottish Highlands, or the Southern Coast a surcharge delivery may be included on top of the normal delivery charge, if this is the case we will contact you regarding this.

The company will not accept any liability for late delivery of the goods and delivery time is not contractual- it varies and guides are given on our website and any more lengthy lead time then we will contact you to advise of this.

In the chance that a delivery is refused, or no one is in to take the delivery and they have not wrote to us confirming the goods are fine to be left- then a surcharge delivery will occur.

The company will not accept liability for none delivery where the circumstances are out of our control.

We use a variety of couriers. Large couriers and we also support local drivers for more local orders. We will contact you to advise what firm will be delivering your goods closer to the time.

 

Customer organised returns

if you have changed your mind and wish to return the goods to us, you can do so, please see under our returns policy on another page. You have a statutory responsibility to take care of the goods you are returning. We reserve the rights to bring action against you if you breach this statutory duty.

If the returned goods are damaged in transit, we reserve the rights to recoup the costs from you. This will normally be deducted from your refund.

If the goods returned to us are not suitable for re sale, we reserve the right to re coup the money from the purchaser who has returned the goods.

Mode rattan will not be responsible for any damage caused in transit. We recommend you use a recorded delivery service with appropriate insurance.

Warranties

Warranties differ for product ranges and will be highlighted on the specific product. Our Rattan is a handcrafted synthetic rattan weave. As the material is synthetic, woven table tops may move during hot weather due to the natural expansion of the material, this is completely normal. As it cools down it will return to its natural taught finish. This is not a defect, but it will happen with all brands of rattan furniture.

Any item used for burning fuel may make the rattan discolor due to the heat.

If the problem is deemed by Mode Rattan to be due to wear and tear or misuse (including commercial use of a domestic product) rather than a manufacturing fault, then charges may be made for rectification.

Should there be any claim against this from the customer in this regard then their issue should be taken up with the manufacturer directly and not Mode Rattan.

The goods vary with warranty, and this will be listed on the individual items. They will cone with warranty paper work which you must fill out and return to us within 3 days for the warranty to be valid. 

 

Please note glass is not covered under our warranty policies for any of our goods.
